Shamim Khan is a seasoned global executive and former CFO with more than three decades of experience leading, advising, and transforming businesses across telecommunications, satellite, broadband, and technology. She has partnered with CEOs, boards, and senior leadership teams on growth strategy, M&A, capital allocation, international expansion, operational transformation, and risk management. Her experience spans public companies, multinational corporations, entrepreneurial ventures, and complex emerging-market environments.

Throughout her career, she has led businesses through periods of rapid growth, financial pressure, organizational change, and strategic transformation. She has executed transactions ranging from $13 million to $2.3 billion, raised $800 million through a telecommunications tower sale-and-leaseback, restructured $1 billion of debt, and helped drive significant operational improvements across large geographically dispersed organizations. Her leadership experience includes serving as CFO of businesses with revenues of up to $6 billion and partnering with management teams to balance growth, investment, liquidity, risk, and long-term value creation.

Her board experience includes serving as Vice President of the Board of Directors of Star One, Latin America’s largest satellite operator, and President of the Board of Directors of Proceda, an MCI systems-integration company. She brings a practical, commercially focused perspective to the boardroom, combining financial expertise with deep operating and strategic experience. She is particularly well positioned to advise organizations navigating growth, transformation, M&A, technology disruption, international expansion, and complex capital or governance challenges.

Based in the United States, she has extensive international experience, including significant leadership across Latin America and advanced Brazilian Portuguese. She holds an MBA from Indiana University and a BA in Economics from The George Washington University.
